Preliminary Approval Granted in Delta Defense Settlement
Overview
On November 17, 2025, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin granted preliminary approval of a class action settlement in John v. Delta Defense (Case No. 2:23-cv-01253), addressing claims that Defendants disclosed user data through website tracking technologies.
On November 17, 2025, in John v. Delta Defense LLC and United States Concealed Carry Association, Inc., Case No. 2:23-cv-01253, Judge Adelman of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin granted preliminary approval of a class action settlement resolving claims that Delta Defense and USCCA disclosed user’s video data through website tracking technologies.
In granting preliminary approval, Almeida Law Group LLC and Hansen Reynolds LLC were appointed Class Counsel. Judge Adelman granted class certification for settlement purposes of the following class: all persons in the United States who had an account (free or paid) with a Defendant and visited a page on a Defendant’s website housing a video behind a paywall or subscription wall between September 21, 2020 and June 2, 2025. A Final Approval Hearing is scheduled for March 16, 2026.
