About Oak View Group, LLC
Oak View Group, LLC (OVG) is an American venue management, professional sports, hospitality, and live entertainment company headquartered at 5050 S. Syracuse Street, Suite 800, Denver, Colorado. Founded in 2015, OVG manages hundreds of client-partner venues worldwide, including arenas, stadiums, convention centers, and performing arts centers, with notable properties such as Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle and UBS Arena in New York. The data exposed in this breach included names, Social Security numbers, and taxpayer identification numbers belonging to contractors and vendors who performed work at OVG-managed venues — sensitive financial and identity information that can be used to commit tax fraud or identity theft.
What Happened?
Oak View Group, LLC was listed in a Texas Attorney General data security breach report (record ID BR-0005117) published on June 18th, 2026. According to the filing and supplemental reporting, an unauthorized party gained access to a subset of OVG’s legacy computer systems beginning on December 16th, 2025. The intrusion went undetected for approximately 34 days before OVG discovered it on January 19th, 2026. During that window, the unauthorized party exfiltrated files containing personal information — specifically names, addresses, Social Security numbers, taxpayer identification numbers, and other information — belonging to contractors and vendors who had performed work at OVG-managed venues. A total of 10,075 individuals were affected. OVG notified affected individuals by U.S. mail on June 12th, 2026, nearly five months after discovering the breach. No ransomware group or specific threat actor has been publicly attributed to this incident.
This is OVG’s second reported data breach in approximately two years. A prior breach discovered on November 26th, 2023 affected roughly 58,000 current and former employees, compromising names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and driver’s license information. That incident resulted in a class action lawsuit and an $824,000 settlement currently pending final court approval, with a hearing scheduled for August 13th, 2026. No class action lawsuit has yet been filed for the December 2025–January 2026 breach as of June 18th, 2026, though attorneys at multiple firms are actively investigating whether one can be brought.
