What Should You Do?
If you received a notice from AgelessRx, enroll in the 12 months of free Experian IdentityWorks credit monitoring as soon as possible. You should also consider placing a fraud alert or credit freeze with the three major credit bureaus — Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion — to help prevent new accounts from being opened in your name. Review your credit reports regularly at AnnualCreditReport.com and watch for any suspicious activity on your financial accounts. Because this breach involved health diagnosis and treatment information, you should also review your Explanation of Benefits statements from your health insurer and check your medical records for any services you do not recognize. If you believe your information has been misused, visit IdentityTheft.gov for guidance on next steps.
