What Happened?
Elixir Medical Corporation was listed in a California Attorney General sample breach notice filed on September 4th, 2026. According to the company’s own notice, an unauthorized party accessed Elixir’s computer network between July 20th, 2026 and July 21st, 2026. Elixir engaged third-party experts and notified law enforcement. On August 11th, 2026, the company determined that potentially at-risk files contained human resources information belonging to current and former employees, consultants, and certain beneficiaries and dependents.
The exposed information included names and Social Security numbers, and potentially one or more of the following if provided to human resources: driver’s license numbers, credit or debit card numbers, medical information, and direct deposit bank account information. Elixir is offering Experian IdentityWorks Credit enrollment to affected individuals. The dedicated incident response line is (844) 301-0062. No ransomware group has publicly claimed responsibility for this attack, and no independent media coverage of the incident was found beyond the California Attorney General filing.
