Fairmont Federal Credit Union, based in Fairmont, West Virginia, identified a cybersecurity incident on January 23, 2024. Following an investigation, the credit union confirmed on August 17, 2025, that files accessed by an unauthorized party between September 30 and October 18, 2023 contained sensitive personal data.

  1. Credit monitoring with Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion
  2. Identity restoration services
  3. $1 million in identity theft insurance coverage
  4. ExtendedCARE support even after membership ends
