Attorneys at Almeida Law Group are investigating whether a class action lawsuit can be filed on behalf of individuals affected by a possible G&S Technologies data breach. According to dark web monitoring sources, a hacker group calling itself qilin claimed responsibility for a cyberattack on G&S Technologies in a post first observed in September 2026, alleging it had gained access to internal company systems. As of this writing, G&S Technologies has not issued a public confirmation of the incident, and the exact scope of any exposed data remains unknown. If you believe you were affected, contact Almeida Law Group.

About G&S Technologies

G&S Technologies is the North American leader in the removal, recycling, disposal, and repair of distribution and substation transformers and other oil-filled electrical equipment, including PCB-contaminated equipment. Founded in 1963, the company is headquartered at 1800 Harrison Avenue in Kearny, New Jersey, and operates the largest transformer processing facility in the United States, along with a network of eight facilities nationwide. It is a privately held company serving utilities and industrial clients. Despite the “Technologies” in its name, the company operates in environmental services and transformer recycling—not the information technology sector.

What Happened?

On September 5th, 2026, the Qilin ransomware group listed G&S Technologies on its dark-web leak site, as tracked by Ransomware.live and reported by RedPacket Security. This is an attacker-side allegation only. The leak-site entry did not specify a breach date, discovery date, data size, or the types of data allegedly involved. RedPacket Security noted that there was insufficient information to assess the scope or operational impact of the alleged incident. No public confirmation from G&S Technologies, no regulatory filing, and no independent corroborating journalism specific to this incident were found.

Qilin—also known as Agenda—is a Ransomware-as-a-Service operation assessed to have Russian-speaking origins. It was tracked as the most active ransomware group in the first half of 2026, with over 500 victim organizations posted that year and more than 2,100 listed since 2022. The group has recorded 299 attacks in the first quarter of 2026 alone and has targeted organizations across Windows, Linux, and VMware ESXi environments. No formal government attribution has been publicly issued. No prior breaches or litigation involving G&S Technologies were identified in research.
