Attorneys at Almeida Law Group are investigating whether a class action lawsuit can be filed on behalf of individuals affected by a possible Precision Vehicle Logistics data breach. According to dark web monitoring sources, a hacker group calling itself direwolf claimed responsibility for a cyberattack on Precision Vehicle Logistics in a post first observed in September 2026, alleging it had gained access to internal company systems. As of this writing, Precision Vehicle Logistics has not issued a public confirmation of the incident, and the exact scope of any exposed data remains unknown. If you believe you were affected, contact Almeida Law Group.

About Precision Vehicle Logistics

Precision Vehicle Logistics LLC is a finished vehicle logistics company based in Wayne, Michigan, that provides yard management, vehicle processing, short-haul logistics, and vehicle inspection services for major automakers. Incorporated in 2014, the company operates as a private entity under parent company Precision Vehicle Holdings, backed by Liberty Hill Equity Partners. It also has a sister company called AutoVentive.

What Happened?

On September 7th, 2026, Precision Vehicle Logistics was listed on the Direwolf ransomware group’s dark web leak site, as reported by Ransomware.live. The listing described the company under the category of Freight & Logistics Services. This is an attacker-side allegation only. No breach dates, data volume, screenshots, or downloadable files were included in the listing, and multiple threat intelligence aggregators that logged the claim — including RedPacket Security and RecentBreaches.com — note that the claim lacks sufficient detail to determine the scope or operational consequences. No independent confirmation from Precision Vehicle Logistics, any state regulator, or any mainstream media outlet has been found. The types of data allegedly involved, if any, were not specified.

Direwolf is a double-extortion ransomware group first observed in May 2025. It uses Curve25519/ChaCha20 encryption and threatens to publish stolen data if ransoms are not paid. As of September 7th, 2026, the group had claimed approximately 127 victims across 36 countries and is assessed by security researchers as a genuinely new, financially motivated operation with no known infrastructure overlap with other ransomware groups.
