What Happened?

On August 23rd, 2026, the Qilin ransomware group posted a claim on its dark web leak site alleging an attack on Clear Align (clearalign.com), as tracked by Ransomware.live and reported by DeXpose. This is an attacker-side allegation only. No public confirmation, regulatory filing, or consumer notification from Clear Align acknowledging this incident has been found. No details about what types of data were involved, how much data may have been affected, or the timeline of any attack have been confirmed by the company or any regulator. No independent corroborating source has verified the claim.

Qilin, also known as Agenda, is a Ransomware-as-a-Service (RaaS) group linked to Russian-speaking operators and was the most active ransomware group tracked in the first half of 2026, with over 500 victim organizations posted to its leak site. The group employs double-extortion tactics, threatening to publish stolen data publicly if victims do not pay. Manufacturing and professional services are among its most frequently targeted sectors.
