Attorneys at Almeida Law Group are investigating whether a class action lawsuit can be filed on behalf of individuals affected by a possible Allied Machine & Engineering data breach. According to dark web monitoring sources, a hacker group calling itself Storm claimed responsibility for a cyberattack on Allied Machine & Engineering in a post first observed in October 2026, alleging it had gained access to internal company systems. As of this writing, Allied Machine & Engineering has not issued a public confirmation of the incident, and the exact scope of any exposed data remains unknown. If you believe you were affected, contact Almeida Law Group.

About Allied Machine & Engineering

Allied Machine & Engineering is a privately held, family-owned American manufacturer of holemaking and finishing cutting tool systems, including industrial drills, boring tools, thread mills, reamers, and related tooling for metal-cutting industries. Founded in 1941 and headquartered in Dover, Ohio, the company serves customers across aerospace, automotive, agriculture, heavy equipment, medical, oil and gas, renewable energy, structural steel, and defense industries. It operates globally with facilities and distribution in the United States, Europe, Germany, India, and other markets, and employs approximately 201–500 people.

What Happened?

On October 3rd, 2026, the Storm ransomware group listed Allied Machine & Engineering on its Tor-hosted leak site, claiming to have stolen internal data from the company. This is an unverified, attacker-side allegation only. Allied Machine & Engineering has not publicly confirmed the claim, and no independent corroborating sources have been found. No specific data types, data volumes, or ransom demands have been disclosed for this incident.

Storm is an emerging Ransomware-as-a-Service (RaaS) operation first indexed in August 2026 that had listed more than 61 claimed victim organizations by late September 2026. Independent researchers have reported evidence that Storm engages in victim inflation, frequently posting unverified or duplicate claims to fabricate operational scale. Storm operates a double-extortion model with a Tor leak site featuring countdown timers of two to three weeks. Threat intelligence reporting links Storm (also tracked as Storm-1175) to exploitation of CVE-2026-18577, a high-severity authentication-bypass vulnerability in N-able N-central remote monitoring and management consoles, with an attack lifecycle reportedly compressed to under 24 hours. Because Storm has documented patterns of inflated or false claims, the allegation against Allied Machine & Engineering should be treated with caution until the company or an independent source confirms or denies it.
