Attorneys at Almeida Law Group are investigating whether a class action lawsuit can be filed on behalf of individuals affected by a possible Far West Contractors data breach. According to dark web monitoring sources, a hacker group calling itself Deadlock claimed responsibility for a cyberattack on Far West Contractors in a post first observed in October 2026, alleging it had gained access to internal company systems. As of this writing, Far West Contractors has not issued a public confirmation of the incident, and the exact scope of any exposed data remains unknown. If you believe you were affected, contact Almeida Law Group.

About Far West Contractors

Far West Contractors Corp is a commercial general contractor headquartered in Placentia, California, specializing in SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities) construction, aerospace and defense tenant improvements, and construction management. The company reports more than 30 years of experience with SCIF, SAPF, and DOD secure room projects, and its client portfolio includes Boeing, Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), and Northrop Grumman. Far West Contractors is a HUBZone-certified federal contractor registered in SAM.gov.

What Happened?

Far West Contractors was listed as a victim in a ransomware leak-site allegation reported by Ransomware.live on October 2nd, 2026, attributed to the Deadlock ransomware group. The post is an attacker-side claim only. According to RedPacket Security, the Deadlock listing does not specify whether Far West Contractors’ systems were encrypted or whether any data was exfiltrated, and it provides no ransom figure or other details about the alleged incident. No screenshots or supporting evidence were included. No confirmation from the company, any regulator, or any independent news outlet has been found. Because no data types were described in the claim, the specific information potentially at risk has not been established.

Deadlock is a ransomware group that first emerged in July 2025 and employs double-extortion tactics. Microsoft Threat Intelligence has reported that the group uses decentralized blockchain-based command-and-control infrastructure via Polygon smart contracts and kernel-level endpoint detection and response evasion. As of August 2026, Deadlock had claimed approximately 96 to 101 victims globally, with concentrations in Professional Services (25%), Manufacturing (22%), and Technology (10%). The group launched a public leak site in June 2026 after roughly eleven months of operating without one, and its payload has been deployed by multiple threat actors, including an affiliate previously linked to the Lynx and INC ransomware ecosystems.
