What Should You Do?
If you received a notification from Indico Data Solutions, enroll in the 12 months of free credit monitoring being offered before any stated deadline. Regardless of whether you enroll, consider placing a fraud alert or credit freeze with each of the three major credit bureaus — Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion — to make it harder for someone to open new accounts in your name. Review your credit reports at AnnualCreditReport.com and monitor your existing financial accounts for any suspicious activity. Because medical and health information may also have been exposed, review your Explanation of Benefits statements and request copies of your medical records to check for any services you did not receive. If you spot anything unfamiliar, report it at IdentityTheft.gov, where you can also create a personalized recovery plan.
