Legacy Treatment Services, a healthcare provider based in Hainesport, New Jersey, disclosed a data breach affecting over 41,000 individuals after a hacking incident exposed sensitive personal data. On July 18, 2024, the company discovered that its systems had been compromised in a hacking incident. The investigation determined that unauthorized access occurred on October 6, 2024.

The breach exposed sensitive information of 41,826 individuals. Notification letters were sent to affected individuals beginning on August 22, 2025. The organization has since taken steps to contain the incident and notify those impacted.

The review confirmed that the data compromised may include:

  1. Names
  2. Social Security numbers
  3. Other personal identifiers

The exposure of Social Security numbers increases the risk of identity theft and financial fraud for those affected.
